Funeral services were held here Sunday afternoon for Dalphus Mitchel (Jack) Cecil who died Thursday night at his home here after a lingering illness. He leaves 3 sisters, Mrs. Augusta Brittain of Cleveland, Mo., Mrs. Sadie McAually of Cleveland, Md., and Mrs. Virginia Dalton of Salina, Kansas. 5 nieces and five nephews and many other relatives and friends. Services were held at the Methodist church by Rev. J. A. Anderson, pastor of the Baptist, church at Amarillo assisted by Rev. Marvin Brotherton pastor of the Methodist church here. Pallbearers were Messrs. A Y Ingham, Fred Lyle, Raymond Sweet, Elmer Hanson, Arval Fleming and Jay Hook.
Honorary pallbearers were Messrs. J F Lyle, C D. Lee, A. F. Krull, Clovis Fleming, Jim Daniels and Wes Harvey. Interment in Texhoma Cemetery beside his wife who passed away almost 30 years ago.
