Rufus Pressly Anthony, 72, 1418 Westbrook Circle, died Nov. 12, 1996, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Gaston County, son of the late R. P. and Annie Pearson Anthony Sr., president of AnChem Inc , member of Pisgah A R P Church, served as deacon, elder, Sunday school superintendent.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Doris Phifer Anthony, daughter, Reha Anthony Stewart, Greenville, S C , brother, William Edward Anthony Sr., Gastonia: grandchildren, Anthony C and Margaret R Stewart, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
