CHILLICOTHE: Ronnie D. Bayless, Sr., 68, of Chillicothe, died 1:14 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010 in OSU Hospital, Columbus following a brief illness.
He was born July 11, 1941, in Lewis County, KY to the late Russell and Madeline Bennett Bayless. On October 2, 1965, he married the former Sharon R. Johnson who survives.
Also surviving are children, Ronnie D. (Peggy) Bayless, Jr., of Jacksonville, NC, Eve D. (Kevin) Harper, of Chillicothe and Kele (Andrea) Bayless, of Chillicothe; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Bayless, of Frankfort; grandchildren, Rachel (Nathan) Stewart, Sarah Bayless, Daniel Bayless, Zach, Kaitlyn and Breanna Harper, Emily, Julie, Katie and Renee Bayless and Nathan and Taylor Daniels; a great granddaughter, Katherine Stewart; a brother, Wilbur R. (Carol) Bayless, of Beatrice, NE; a sister, Carolyn (Duane) Buckholz, of Lorraine, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Eric D. Bayless.
Ronnie retired from Horizon after 37 years of service. He had served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Fred Fox officiating. Burial will be held in Floral Hills Memory Gardens at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at Ware's from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
