Morris Jethro Amburgey, age 79, of Dead Mare Branch, Mallie, Kentucky, died Thursday, February 16, 2006, at his residence. He was born July 3, 1926, the son of Jethro Amburgey and Rania Smith Amburgey. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a retired Civil engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Gertrude Messer Amburgey. He is survived by two sons: Ken Amburgey of Sugar Grove, Ohio and Mike Amburgey of Columbus, Ohio; one granddaughter: Tracy Wilkes; three great -grandchildren: Ashley Dawn Wilkes, Brittany Nicole Wilkes and Bailey Michael Amburgey. Memorial services were conducted Sunday, February 19, at 2 p.m., at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel, Hindman, Kentucky, with John Shroll officiating.
