Allen Smith Farnsworth, age 62, passed away May 26, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born March 21, 1933 in Beaver, Utah to Samuel Taylor and Elsie Kathleen Smith Farnsworth. He married Barbara Dalton February 3, 1954 in the St. George LDS Temple. Allen graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He practiced dentistry in Mesa, Arizona for 30 years. He was a member of the LDS Church, and served as a bishop and a stake president. He served faithfully in many other capacities throughout his life. He was called as a mission president in the Texas Houston East Mission from 1990-1993. He was a hard worker who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed making things grow, gardening, fishing and the Beaver Mountains. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, and was very supportive of his family. He was a good neighbor and friend and will be greatly missed.He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Beaver; children, Janette and Ray Richards, of St. George; Julie and Wendell Beck, Bonnie and Chad Campbell, all of Mesa, Arizona; Steven and Brenda Farnsworth, of Bountiful, Chris and Melanie Farnsworth, of Boise, Idaho; and Amanda Lee Farnsworth, of Provo; 17 grandchildren; sisters, Thelma and Leland Priday, of American Fork; and Barbara and Max Robinson, of Orem; brothers, Dean and Miriam Farnsworth, of West Valley; William Franklin and Rhonda Farnsworth, of Logan; Karl and Joyce Farnsworth, of Los Angeles; and Lynn and Mary Farnsworth, of Olney, Maryland.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 1995 at 11 a.m. in the Beaver LDS 1st Ward Chapel. Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the Olpin Mortuary and Tuesday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Mortuary
