Funeral services will be held Friday (November 23, 1984) at 3 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church for Raoul Joseph Guilbeau, 88, who died Wednesday (November 21 1984) at 10:30 p.m. in Doctor's Hospital in Opelousas.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro, the son of the late Edward Guilbeau, Sr. and Eva Guilbeau.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, the former Lovenia Comeaux of Carencro; three sons, Jean Essy Guilbeau of New Orleans, George and Roy Guilbeau, both of Carencro; three daughters, Mrs. Lyman (Mary Lois) Royer and Mrs. Hayward (Darnel) Royer, both of Cankton and Mrs. Victorian (Priscilla) Meche of Carencro; one brother, Edward Guilbeau, Jr. of Carencro; two sisters, Mrs. Joanna Patin and MRs Bill (Hazel) Brasseaux, both of Carencro; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great--great-grandchild; 14 step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

He was a retired machinist for Southern Pacific Railroad.

Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro is in charge of arrangements.
