Momence, February 23,--The funeral of Mrs Frank H. Hamilton, who passed away at her home in this city about 5 o'clock Tuesday morning, following a brief illness of typhoid fever and complications, was held in private at the late home this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Mr. Eglin, pastor of the Episcopal Church officiated. Internment was made in the Momence Cemetery.
Mrs. Hamilton was one of the pioneer citizens and most beloved and highly esteemed Christian characters of this city and her untimely death is mourned in practically every home in this community, by the younger people as well as the older residents. She was of retiring and lovable disposition and a true Christian worker and took a great deal of interest in her church, the Episcopal.
Mrs. Hamilton's maiden name was Case, she being the daughter of a pioneer Kankakee county couple who came from Pennsylvania in 1857, at which time Mrs. Hamilton was but fourteen years of age. She was born at Honesdale, Pennsylvania in 1843.
In 1863, in this city, Miss Case was united in marriage to Julian Worcester. Of this union one son, Freddie, was born. At the age of thirteen, while hunting along the river a short distance above Momence, he was drowned in the Kankakee. Mr. Worcester died in 1872.
In 1884 Mrs. Worcester was united in marriage to Frank H. Hamilton, a well known and highly respected business man of this city, since retired.
Of this unuin one daughter, Mary, was born. She and her father survive to mourn the loss of a mother and wife.

Corrections: In the coping and posting of this obituary the misspelling of Harriet's first married name of Worcester was written as Wooster just as the name is pronounced. It was corrected. Her second husband was Charles Frances Hamilton known as Frank. The middle initial of H. in his name is another mistake. He is buried under the name of Frank Hamilton.
