Lorenzo was born Dec 7 1819 in Reading Vt to John and Sally Amsden.
He and Eliza had two children; Eliza and her second child are buried in Weare, NH.
From our research:
Marr. 1) Eliza Frances Breed on Nov. 19, 1850 in Whiteside Co., IL
He was a merchant in this area at the time of his marriage. By the 1860 census a son named Edward L. Hapgood appears with Lorenzo. Eliza has apparently died by 1860.
Marr. 2) Anna M. Worthington on Sept. 16, 1860 in Whiteside Co., IL
Edward dies in 1865 as a 14-year old boy. He is in Riverside cemetery.
Only Lorenzo and Anna appear in the 1870 census and there is no indication they had children together.
Anna dies in 1878 and by the 1880 census Lorenzo is abt. 50 years old and again a widower, this time selling real estate in Kansas City, MO. This is the last census in which he appears.
