Son of Michael M. and Elizabeth E. (Shamp) Heffelfinger. He came to Grand Island, Nebraska, about 1886 and founded the Grand Island Soap Works.

Deaths and Funerals

Funeral services for Jerome Heffelfinger, of Billings, Montana, former resident of Grand Island, who passed away at a hospital in Billings, Montana, on Saturday were held Tuesday afternoon at the Livingston Sondermann funeral home. Rev. Glen Rice, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiated. Burial was made in the Grand Island cemeery. His body was accompanied here by his daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Langmann, and son, Jerry, of Billings.


The deceased for many years was traveling representative of the Chicago Hide & Fur Co., but in recent years retired from active work.
