Civil War Vet

G. W. Burrows one of the oldest of Texas county pioneers died Tuesday night at his home in north Texhoma. He was past 92 at time of his passing.
For the past year he has been a familiar figure on our streets, for in spite of his advanced age he was agile and enjoyed getting down town among his associates and friends. His was a kindly nature, honest and devoted to his belief in God. Had watched this country grow from barren plains to a fruitful well cultivated farms and in the last two yuears when disaster came alwas said, "God would care for the people".
An aged sister four sons, two daugters and many grandchildren are left to recall his many lovable traits. Funeral services were at Methodist church Rhursday and interment made in Texhoma Cemetery and his memorkly lingers with us as a man who loved justly and right and now is at rest in that "Better World", of which he spoke so often.
