"Tired of Life.---San Diego, Jan. 9,---The body of C.H. Ferris, a broom maker, about 28 years old, was found in the bay today. It had been in the water for some hours. Ferris came here recently from Escondido. He was out of work and in poor health. He left a note to his wife, declaring his intention to commit suicide."
