Elizabeth M. Morse, 85, of Owego, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 17, 2005.
She was born on September 22, 1920, the daughter of the late Sylvester (Martha Sullivan) Saddlemire.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Donald, in 1999; and her 12 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her eight children....., Helen (.....) Wakeman, Candor, .....; three sisters.....; two sisters-in-law.....; 26 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth shared a special love for her dog, Suzi.
She was a member of the Catatonk Baptist Church and the Hullsville Bible Baptist Church. She loved to cook and bake and especially liked traveling and camping with her family. She will be sadly missed by all.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at Richards Funeral Home, Rt. 17c West, Owego, NY 13827, with Rev. Dale Ford, Pastor of the Trumbull's Corners Community Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Tioga Cemetery, Owego. Friends are invited to call at Richards Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth's name may be made to Lourdes Hospices, West Division, Fifth Avenue, Owego, N.Y. 13827.
