EMMETT — Mrs. Velma Salazar, 64, Emmett, died Friday morning at an Emmett hospital after a long illness.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Beatty Chapel by the Rev. William Lineberry of the First Methodist Church. Interment will be at Emmett.

Mrs. Salazar was born April 13, 1908, at Grass Valley, Ore., and moved to Letha with her parents in 1912. She was married to Earl Way on July 6, 1926, at Emmett. He died Feb. 5, 1945. She lived at Craigmont for a time after her marriage, then returned to Emmett. She was married to Ray Salazar on May 6, 1946, at Emmett.

She was a member of the Co-op Handicraft Club of Emmett.

Survivors, besides her husband of Emmett, include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Waters, Emmett; two brothers, Jiggs and Carlton Ashley, both of Letha; four sisters, Mrs. Veda Stephens, Nampa, Mrs. Lena Boor, Boise, Juanita Hyde, Nampa, and Nadine Wells, Rainier, Ore.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
