"Funeral services for Naomi Jane Wahl, 83, of Beech, who died January 17, at the Pleasant Care Living Center in Pleasantville, were held January 20, 1998, at Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville. Burial was at Pleasantville Cemetery. The Rev. Marge Bradshaw officiated at the services.
Naomi was born March 31, 1914, in Wayne County, the daughter of Newton J. and Clara Adams Jones. She grew up on a farm in Wayne County. She was united in marriage to Lester Wahl on January 7, 1933, in Unionville, Mo. The couple farmed in Appanoose County, then moved to Marion County in 1943. They lived in Knoxville and Melcher, and moved to a farm west of Pleasantville in 1955. They returned to the Melcher area in 1961, and retired in Beech in 1970.
She was a member of the Christian Church in Dallas."
