DEATH CLAIMS JOHN FRISH
Resident of City for Last 28 Years Dies On Monday
After a lingering illness which followed a stroke, John Frish, 76,
resident of Two Rivers for the last 28 years, died at his home at
1015-18th Street at 6 p.m. Monday.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 from the C.J.
Jansky Funeral Home and at 9 o'clock at St. Luke's Catholic Church,
with the Very Rev. C. J. Hugo officiating. Interment will be at St.
Mary's Cemetery at Tisch Mills. The body can be viewed at the funeral
home.
The deceased was born in Austria, Feb. 9, 1859, and at the age of 18
months, was brought to this country by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Frish. They settled on a farm at Cooperstown. Thirty-five years ago,
they sold the homestead farm and acquired a farm in the town of Two
Rivers, which he operated for seven years and then moved to this city.
Mr. Frish is survived by his second wife, Frances Stefanik Frish, whom
he married here 26 years ago, and two daughters, Mrs. George Deja and
Miss Emma Frish, both of the town of Two Creeks; two sisters, Mrs. Rose
Opichka, of Denmark, and Mrs. Bertha Freed, of Portland, Ore., 10
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
