Wilmer was the son of Pierre O. Olivier duClozel and Marie Eudolie Doris Simpson. His siblings were: Samuel Olues; Pierre Hermon; Mary; John Halton; George Earl; Eloise; and Ernest Joseph Olivier.
He married Marie Coralie Mouton and had children: Ruth Marie; Roy Antoine; Ruby Cecillia; and Bertha Myrtle Olivier.
Wilmer was a brick layer and a plasterer. He was known for many of his creative works. He once plastered a set of lions on a front porch column bases. It is rumored that he was known for making very good boot-leg whiskey.
He died at, 46 years old, from what was called indigestion, but in reality was a heart attack. Many of the Olivier men have suffered with heart problems.
