Mary Alice was raised in Pennsylvania by her widowed mother, Violet Beatty Haney. She married in 1943 in Pennsylvania, and came with her husband to Los Angeles, California in about 1953. Shortly thereafter they settled in the northern Ca. town of Alameda. There she and her husband raised three sons. With her second husband, she lived in Oakland and Hayward, CA until her death from Alzheimer's.
Mary was a true believer in our Lord God and was a minister at the Church of Religious Science. She believed in the power of prayer and the power of positive thinking. She was a kind soul who loved her family above all else, loved beautiful surroundings and only saw the good in people.
