Helen was born to Tom and Bessie Brantley in Purcell, Oklahoma where she was also raised alongside her much adored siblings, Tom, Mae, Stella, Florene and Bette. Eventually, Helen moved to Columbia, S.C. where she lovingly raised her own family and also established a longstanding and rewarding career with the Federal Government providing accounting services at Fort Jackson. Later, Helen married Bruce Allsbrook, Sr. who she very sweetly called the "love of her life." Helen's other loves were her family, her friends, her church and her God. She attended church regularly, was an avid bridge and crossword puzzle player, and donated her time as a volunteer to many organizations including her neighborhood association, where she was a former board member. Most notable was Helen's service to Lexington Hospital, as a pink lady, where she visited the sick tirelessly each and every Monday until her life's end.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, and siblings Tom and Bette. Helen truly possessed a kind and generous heart. May her memory be a blessing to us all!
