CRAMERTON, N.C. - Hester Dennis Ritch, 77, Cramerton, N.C., formerly of Marion County, died on Monday, June 10, 1996, at his residence. He was born on September 1, 1918, the son of Phillip Edgar and Huldy Jane Hester Ritch. He was retired from Sodyco Company as a furnace operator. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Williams Ritch, a daughter, Mary Helen Ritch, and a son, Terry Ritch.
Funeral servces were held on Thursday, June 13, 1996, at 11 a.m. from the Fulton Bridge Baptist Church in Marion County with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Jeff Hunter was the officiating minister.
Pallbearers were Pete Peoples, Jimmy Frederick, Wendell Edgil, Allen Peoples, Terry Ritch and Randy Lynn.
Survivors include one son - Randell Charles Ritch, Danville, VA.; three grandchildren - Douglas Ritch, Deborah Wood, and Susan Riggins; four great-grandchildren; three brothers - Stanley Ritch and Deward Ritch, both of Hamilton, and Arthur Ritch, Indiana; four sisters - Iantha Mays, Jasper, Lois Peoples, Olean Barnett and Grace Frederick, all of Hamilton.
Miles Funeral Home of Winfield directed the services.
