Waveland July 10 - Winter Fullenwider, a pioneer of this city and one of the most prominent men in this community died in a Terre Haute hospital Monday evening following an operation on Saturday that necessitated the amputation of a leg. Mr. Fullenwider had been in poor health six months. Mr. Fullenwider was born on a farm near Waveland on November 6, 1853. He was the son of David and Latricia Fullenwider, two of the earlier settlers in this community. On November 25, 1896 he was married to Birdie Rice of near here. In addition to the widow who is an invalid, the deceased is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Owen Dooley who lives on a farm near Waveland, one grandson and one brother, Irving Fullenwider of Indianapolis. Seven nephews and 11 nieces also mourn his death. Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Dooley at 2 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon. The Dooleys live on the old Oldshue farm. Burial will take place at Waveland. Mr. Fullenwider was a prominent member of the Waveland Presbyterian Church serving as an elder.
