- Mr. Blood was born June 7, 1815 at Goshen, N.H. He was the oldest of twenty-one children - his father having been married three times - nine of whom are still living. In November 1858 he married Miss Betsey M. Proctor and in April 1859 they came to Prescott, Wisconsin, moving in the fall of the same year to this place and purchasing the property upon which they have ever since resided. He was a man of strong characteristics, honest, and industrious. In political faith he was democratic. He belonged to no society. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon. A very appropriate address was made by Allen P. Weld, Esq., and a quartette furnished excellent music. A large number of friends and relatives were present and followed the remains to Greenwood cemetery. He has been an invalid for many months and patiently endured the discipline of pain. His loving wife and faithful daughter attended him till he passed to his infinite rest. River Falls Journal 2-8-1894
