Richard Paul Casterline, born Oct. 9, 1916, Knox, PA. Graduated from Collingwood High School, Cleveland, Ohio 1935. Five years college in Cleveland. Married Eureka Sunde, 1937. Widower 1980. Two sons, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Remarried 1981 in Clearwater Florida to Maryln Boekhoudt, two stepsons.
Entered Army Air Corp 1942 as Aviation Cadet, after five years as Assistant Advertising Manager Parker Aircraft. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, Bombbardier August 1943, Childress, TX. Became 1st Lieutenant in Seething, England, 8th Air Force 2nd Wing, 448th BG Flew 32 combat missions over Germany. Received Distinguished Flying Cross, five Air Medals. Returned to USA in 1944 as Combat Instructor, Tonopah, NE. Discharged 1945. Started advertising agency, Los Angeles 1948; real estate company 1970; President Garden Grove Board of Realtors 1962-63; Started publishing company 1975 in Florida; Now lives in Gaiensville, FL, involved in planning stages of Retirement Communities throughout USA.
