Mr. Barrow spent the early part of his life in Ohio. He graduated from Ohio College and soon after went to Crested Butte where he stayed a short time.
Mr. Barrow established the first drug store in Hotchkiss in 1882. He operated the store until 1921, when he retired and moved to DeBeque.
He married Nellie Davis in 1889 at Pueblo. She preceded him in death by several years.
Mr. Barrow was the last charter member of the Masonic Lodge at Hotchkiss. The Masonic Lodge conducted the services on Friday, June 12, 1942 at 2:30 p.m. at the Callahan Chapel.
Surviving him are three children. Mrs. Hazel Broughton, Chicago, Illinois, Rex Barrow, Rifle and Mrs. Dorothy Burg, DeBeque; two brothers, W. J. Barrow, Morristown, Arizona and Eberly Barrow, Hotchkiss; two sisters, Mrs. D. W. McIntyre, Hotchkiss and Mrs. C. E. Mower, Delta; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
