Mr. Abbott was a lifelong Lexington resident. He formerly was a maintenance worker at the Lexington State Park. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lexington. Survivors include his wife, ; two sons, a daughter, a brother, four sisters; and six grandchildren.
