Harry C. McConnell succumbs in Sharon

Harry C. McConnell, 89, of 517 Superior St., Grove City, died in the Sharon General Hospital at 3 a.m. yesterday.
He was born in Springfield Township March 12, 1878, to Joseph and Sara Welker McConnell. His wife, Harriet Jane Dicks, died in 1953.
Mr. McConnell was a farmer. He was a member of the Broad St. UP Church, Grove City, Lodge 603 F & AM, New Castle Consistory and was past master of the London Grange.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hunter (Mildred) Uber of Grove City and Mrs. Clare (Sara) Hetrick of Sharon; a son Robert McConnell of Grove City; and three grandchildren.
Friends will call at the Shelly-Dorr Funeral Hime, Grove City, tomorrow afternoon and evening.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home by Rev. E. M. Nesbitt. Burial will be in Carpenter Cemetery, Mercer County.
