Obituary from FORT MYERS NEWS-PRESS, Wednesday, October 30, 1974 - Roy T. Padilla, 32, of Matlacha, died Monday. A lifetime resident there, he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the V.F.W. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Padilla of Matlacha, maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Pivlor of Russellville, Ala., and three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Ann Morton of Pine Island, Mrs. Susie Anna Robertson of Pine Island and Mrs. Debra Gail Walton of North Fort Myers.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the Harvey Funeral Home with the Rev. U. Curry Walton of the First Baptist Church of Pine Island and the Rev. E.
S. Anderson of Riverside Baptist Church officiating. Active pallbearers will be Larry Weston, Neil Morton, Fred Halloway, Dennis Neilson, Luther Futch and George Rowell. Honorary pallbearers will be Morty Slater and Mitchell Morton. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 till 9 p.m.
