Charles E. Coplin Obituary

HEBRON -- Services for Charles E. Coplin, 86, a lifetime Hebron area resident and retired carpenter and mason, who died Saturday at Canterbury Place Nursing Home, Valparaiso, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stembel-Clark Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Winson officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home until 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. today.

He was born on a farm northeast of Hebron on March 28, 1886, son of Jacob and Mary Ellen (Briggs) Coplin. On Feb. 12, 1944 in Rensselaer, he married Bessie O'Neal Myers, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters and a number of grandchildren.

He was a member of Hebron Christian Church.

Charlie Coplin married my cousin, Ora Ethel Boyer, on December 12, 1911, in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Together they had two daughters, Alma M. Coplin Claussen and Frances Lorainne Coplin Childers.
