Graveside Services for George Canell, 88, of Stafford, Texas are scheduled for Thursday January 31, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas.
Visitation will be held Wednesday January 30, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Hernandez Funeral Home 800 Fourth Street in Rosenberg. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Canell was born August 17, 1924 in Harlingen, Texas and he passed away January 21, 2013 at his home in Stafford, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Georgeous and Martina Kanellakouelos; his son Joe Henry Canell.
He is survived by his loving wife Concepcion Canell; his sons George Canell, Jr., Jesse James Canell and wife Cindy; his daughters Jacque Canell, Michelle Canell and husband Mark Pompa; his brother Angel Canell; his grandchildren Nicholas Canell, Alexis Widick, Myrsine Howard, Anabel Canell, Gabriela Canell, Jesse James Canell, Jr., Rhonda L. Perez, Jonoah Rivera, Ezekiel Canell, Joe Henry Canell, Jr., Micheal Canell, Adrian Canell as well as other loving family members and friends.
