Jerry Wayne Adcock, a native and longtime resident of Etowah County, Alabama, died on April 17, 1992 in Panama City Beach, Florida. Mr. Adcock had lived in Panama City Beach for the past year. He was a decorated Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U. S. Marine Corps. He received two purple hearts and one silver star during his service. Mr. Adcock was a police officer with the Gadsden Police Department for ten years and was a member of VFW Post No. 8600. Survivors include his wife, two children, a step-daughter, a brother, two sisters, a granddaughter, nieces and nephews, and several uncles and aunts. Honorary pallbearers will be the Gadsden Police Department, Etowah County Sheriff's Department, employees of Anniston Army Depot, United Steelworkers of America Local 2176 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8600. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery, Gadsden, Alabama.
