Cecil Edward Barnett

Cecil Edward Barnett, former owner of Barnett's Hatchery and Poultry Farm in Winona, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1986, in Greenwood Leflore Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 71.

The Fay, Oklahoma native and Winona resident was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Winona, and elder with that church, and a member of the Winona Lions Club.

Services were conducted Thursday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. from First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Harold Richardson preached services and burial was in Geary Cemetery in Geary, Okla.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lorene McLung Barnett of Winona; two sons, Lindle E. Barnett of Chicago and Jack L. Barnett of Starkville; and three brothers, Roy Barnett of Los Angeles, Jack Barnett of Bonham, Texas, and Murel Barnett of Woodward, Okla.

Pallbearers were J.H. Simpson, Bob Ellis and other officers of the first Presbyterian Church, L.E. Lamb, Sr., Grayson McMullan, Alton Neal, V.H. Boatman and D.D. Fielder. Oliver Funeral Home handled arrangements.
