News Article 07-18-1888 Ruplican: "We are saddened to have to record the death at Jefferson Friday last, July 13, of Park N. Waterbury, deputy clert of the court, and an old resident of Jefferson County, at the age of 60 years and 7 monts. Deceased met with an accident on the 11th of April dislocating his shoulder. It was then set, but required resetting several weeks later. But the shoulder did not heal properly and he sought the services of Dr. Palmer, of Janesville, and the shoulder was rest for the second time three weeks ago last Monday. The bone is supposed to have been split in one of the operations and erysipelas or blood-poisoning set in with fatal results. Mr. Waterbury was clerk of the court for several terms and as an officer was prompt, accommodating and efficient. Socially he was pleasant and agreeable to all he met and leaves a host of friends to mourn his untimely loss. His funeral was held Sunday, the remains being taking to Aztalan, for many years his home, for burial."
