My Daddy's younger sister.
Dorothy was the youngest of five children of Ben and Maudie (Ritchie) Hopkins. Ben died when Dorothy was just an infant.
Her mother Maudie remarried not long after.
Dorothy married young- her first husband was Henry Shoemaker Sr. They had two sons- William (Billy) Shoemaker Jr. and James Shoemaker.
Then Dorothy and Henry divorced.
She then married Gene O'Cull. They had no children.
Dorothy was a hard worker her entire life. She worked in the tobacco fields and eventually became a nurse. She took care of her Mama and step-father Yank in her home until they passed away.

They say I favor her quite a bit in looks. I know the older I get-the more I think so too !!
