"Paul D. Clark, 84, former Valley City businessman, died in Ft. Collings, Colorado Monday. Paul Doolittle Clark was born Jan 12, 1896 in Fairmont, Minn, the son of Henry and Ella Clark. The family moved to Alfred, N.Dak. in 1909. He received his education in Minnesota and North Dakota. On Nov 7, 1917 he married Mabel Palmer in St. Cloud, Minn. They moved to Valley City in 1928. Mr. Clark had a grocery store here until retiring. Mrs. Clark died July 13, 1952. He moved to Neenah, Wisc. and was in a nursing home in Ft. Collins. Mrs. Clark was a member of the South West Bible Chapel. He is survived by four sons, Eldon and Gordon of Valley City, Paul and Glen of Bismarck; two daughters, Ella Beth (Mrs. Henry) Schoenig of Ft. Collins, Col. and Lois of Bismarck. Eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sisters. Funeral servies will be Wednesday at 2:00 from Oliver's Chapel with Gen Tuininga officiating. Pallbearers will be Darrell and Steven Schoenig, Dan, Dennis and Gary Clark and Russell Fauske. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery. Arrangements are by Oliver's Chapel.
