Clarence was a lifelong farmer, managed a milk plant for 4 1/2 years and hauled milk for 15 years prior to his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Whitewater, WI, and served as head usher for 15 years. Clarence was a volunteer fireman and EMT for the LaGrange Fire Department for 17 years. He was a member and board member of the Pure Milk Products Cooperative and a board member of the Wisconsin Dairies.
