Mr. Garlin Keltner, a retired farmer of 502 North Columbia Avenue in Campbellsville, son of the late Mr. John Curtis Keltner and Mrs. Mary Nelson Keltner, was born in Adair County, Kentucky, July 9, 1896. He died at 1:22 p.m., Wednesday, August 4, 1976, at the Metzmeier Nursing Home in Campbellsville, where he had been a patient for the past month. He had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the St. Mark's United Methodist Church. He united in marriage to Miss Belle Murrell, August 31, 1922. He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Belle Murrell Keltner of Campbellsville; one foster daughter: Mrs. Cozette Cole of Birmingham, Michigan; and three foster granddaughters: Miss Debbie Cole, Miss Karen Cole, and Miss Anne Marie Cole, all of Birmingham, Michigan. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister: Mr. Garnett Keltner of Campbellsville, Mr. Jimmy Keltner and Mrs. Sally Keltner, both of Louisville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, August 6, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel in Campbellsville by Rev. Phil Porter and Rev. K. A. Loy. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
