H. F. (Shelby) Blakemore
LIBERAL - H. F. (Shelby) Blakemore, 82, died Saturday at Pikes Peak Manor at Colorado Springs. Born Feb. 17, 1897, at Prairie Grove, Ark., he married Lena Fly Dec. 25, 1921, at Fort Smith. Ark. He was a businessman, farmer and rancher, and lived in the Liberal area most of his life before moving to Colorado in 1952.
He was a member of Presbyterian Church, vice president of Blakemore Brothers Grocery Co.. board of directors of First National Bank, owner and operator of Liberal Livestock Auction, Liberal; owner of George Ranch, Forgan. Okla.
Survivors; widow of the home; son: Thomas Jerry, Colorado Springs; brother; Jack, Gore, Okla.; five grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Miller Chapel. Liberal. Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday night and until service time Monday at the chapel.
