HYDE PARK - Harmon K. Sisk, 85, a longtime Hyde Park resident died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston.

Mr. Sisk worked at IBM in Kingston for over 25 years until his retirement.

He was an active person who enjoyed running, bicycling, and walks in the woods. He was also an avid photographer who loved classical music.

Mr. Sisk proudly served with honor in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War. While in the Marine Corps, he was a photographer and had some of his work published in Life Magazine.

He had a love of the Chinese culture ever since being stationed there during World War II.

Born in Newry, SC on August 26, 1921, he was the son of the late Lee Oliver and Lillie Mae Kirby Sisk.

He married the former Elizabeth Walsh at Regina Coeli Church in Hyde Park. Mrs. Sisk survives at home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John K. Sisk and wife, Amy, of Boston, MA; three daughters, Leslie Hutto and husband, Michael, of Aiken, SC, Lise McGrew and husband, Kevin, of Cazenovia, NY, and Rachel Blakley and husband, John, of Colchester, CT; seven grandchildren; four siblings, Ruth Williams and husband, Woody, of Madison, GA, Charles Sisk and wife, Frances, of Seneca, SC, Laura Cranford of Rock Hill, SC, and Michael Sisk and wife, Pat, of Roanoke, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 P.M., Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of St. Peter's Parish, Hudson View Dr., Poughkeepsie.

Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Rhinecliff, NY.
