Mrs. Edna Irene (Lockhart) Butler, 66 died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 1959 at her home at Templeton RD1. She was born April 30, 1893, at Mosgrove, a daughter of John L. and Cora (Slagle) Lockhart. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Belington, WV. After the death of her husband Frank H. Butler in 1937, she married Martin A. Cloak. She loved to travel and was always making trips to WV. Although she was a diabetic, that didn't stop her or slow her down. Surviving are a son, George M."Bud"(Yvonne) Butler of Templeton; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Lois) Bosley, Belington, WV, and Mrs. Richard (Audrey) Lytle, Mosgrove; 11 grandchildren Mrs. Chester (Jean) Fry, Heber Springs, Ark., Donna L., George M. Jr, Robert L., James L, F. Dennis, and David L. Butler, Templeton, Linda, Lorraine, Sandra,and Sheryl Bosley, Belington, WV. Also survivng are five sisters, Mrs. Mildred Atherton, Templeton, RD1, Mrs. Bessie Fry, Butler, Mrs. Mae Johnson, Kittanning RD5, Mrs. Helen Atherton, Templeton, RD1, and Mrs. Fern Coe, Pittsburgh; six brothers, W. Earl Lockhart, Templeton RD1, Harold Lockhart, Titusville, John M. Lockhart, Kittanning RD2, Fred Lockhart, Templeton RD1, Kelly Lockhart, Templeton RD1, and Wilfred Lockhart, Templeton RD1. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rayburn Lockhart, a son Melvin Walter Butler and 4 infant children. Friends may call at the Merwin-Smith Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. C. Richard Main will officiate. Burial will be in Cochran Cemetery.
