TAZEWELL, Va. — Betty Jo Wheeler Angles, age 70 of the Witten Valley community in Tazewell, Va. went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 16 , 2009. Born December 2, 1938 in Liberty of the Witten Valley community of Tazewell, Va. she was a daughter of the late Charlie T. Wheeler and Virginia Bailey Wheeler. She was a long time member of Bundy's Chapel Baptist Church in Witten Valley and was active in their Women on Missions program. She also volunteered at Heritage Hall Health Care in Tazewell, Va. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one grandson, Nickolas Shea Ruble; one great-grandson, Austin Dale-Ray Lee.Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Jackie W. Angles ; two daughters, Barbara Ray and husband, Arvin of North Tazewell, Va . and Andrea Ruble and husband, Derrick of Bluefield, Va.; one son, Jack T. Angles and wife, Angie of Springville, Va.; five grandchildren, Amy Lee, Jill Fox, Mathew Ray, Joy Angles and Meadow Ruble; two great-grandchildren, Bryce Fox and Kaylnn Lee; two sisters, Ellen Wheeler Van Dyke and Phyllis Davidson and husband, Ronnie all of North Tazewell, Va.; two special nieces, Debbie Pickett and Angie Smith; one special nephew, Jimmy Davidson; and many friends.Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Peery and St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. with the Rev. David Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Pallbearers will be James Sparks, Glen Wright, Tom Taylor, Eli Jones, Kendel Howery and Vick Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Childress, James Moore, Brad Altizer, Ray VanDyke, Ronnie Davidson and William Sparks.
