James Elbert Catlett, 62, Glensboro, died Saturday at King's Daughters Hospital Frankfort, after a short illness. A native of Anderson County, he was a former and a deacon in the Glensboro Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ellen Tindall Catlett; a son, James G. Catlett, Lawrenceburg; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph H. McKinley of Owensboro; his stepmother, Mrs. Lizzie Catlett, Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Mrs. Roscoe Perry. Lawrenceburg and Mrs. Earl Sutherland of Anderson County; three half-sisters, Mrs. Robert Catlett, Mt.Eden, Mrs. Leroy Cotton, Lawrenceburg, and Mrs. Ralph Kring, Frankfort; a half-brother, Thomas Catlett of Lawrenceburg and five grandchildren. Services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Glensboro Baptist Church by the Rev. Suthern Sims.
Burial was in the Best Cemetery. Bearers were Thomas Brown, Arthur Gillis, Gilbert Sparrow, Claude Perry, Ernest Richardson and Fred McGinnis. Honorary bearers were the officers of the Glensboro Baptist Church and members of the Men's Sunday school class at the church. Gordon Funeral directors were in charge.
