Last rites for Mrs. G. F. Brewington, former Clarence resident, sister-in-law of
W. B. Brewington of Clarence, were held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from
Bunker Bros. Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nev. Mrs. Brewington passed away early
Friday morning, June 3, in a Las Vegas hospital following an illness of several
weeks.

She was born Rose Farrell on Feb. 7, 1866, on a farm in Monroe county, the
eldest child of the late Mr. and Mrs. James R. Farrell. Her early life was spent
in Clarence where on Sept. 27, 1888 she was married to G. F. Brewington, a young
country doctor. In 1896 they removed to Bevier where he continued to practice
until World War I when he served in the Medical Corps. Later they lived in Keota
and in Michigan, moving to Las Vegas in 1950. She was active in civic and social
affairs.

Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Vail M. Pittman and Miss
Ann Brewington of Las Vegas and Miss Frances Brewington of Boulder City, Nev.;
two sisters, Mrs. E. Hungle and Mrs. L. J. Alexander of Hannibal and a brother,
J. B. Farrell of St. Louis.
