Mrs. Ruth E. Culbertson, 63, 302 S. Madison St., died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 1963, in Swedish-American Hospital after a long illness. Born Sept. 20, 1899, in Janesville, Wis. Lived 45 years in Rockford, coming here from Janesville. Employed as a maintenance woman by First National Bank.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Violet Johnson, Chicago, and a brother, William Wheelock, Rockford.

Services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Julian-Poorman Funeral Home, with the Rev. William M. Shepard pastor of Centennial Methodist Church, officiating. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery.
