GOSHEN -- Lanita Anne (WEST) Jensen, 69, Goshen, formerly of Sheridan and Ligonier, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept.25,2011 at her residence.
She was born Feb 14, 1942 to Ernest Edward and Orpha Anne (Boyer) West. On Aug.12,1967, she married Lyle L. Jensen. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters Lisa Anne(Jensen)(David) Kimpler of Wauwatosa, Wis., Lana Marie(Jensen)(Kent)Bucher and Laura Jean(Jensen)(Kenneth)Smith, both of Elkhart; a son Phillip Edward (Pricie Emma)Jensen of Valley Park, MO.; grandsons Nicholas Kenton and Anthony Walter Bucher, Robert Thomas Kimpler, Parker Edward and Preston Emerson Jensen; and a brother Alden Dale West of Hendersonville, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lanita was a mother, teacher, 4-H leader, church secretary, tutor, special education aid, substitute teacher, cashier, children's Sunday school and vacation bible school teacher and a member of the Missionary Church. She had a master's in business education with a minor in home economics from Ball State University and a master's in special education for Indiana University. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept.28,2011, at Rieth-Rohter-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, where the service will be at 11a.m. Thursday, Sept 29,2011. Pastor Jack McGlasson will officiate. A graveside service will be at noon Friday, Sept.30,2011 at Crown View Cemetery, Sheridan.
