Mrs. Emma Thurman, aged 76, of route two, died at 10:40 this morning at the Dickson memorial Hospital following an illness of ten days due to an intestinal obstruction. She was a native of Kentucky, but had been a resident of Greene County since she was a little girl.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Surviving are her husband, John Thurman; two daughters, Mrs. E. A. Murphy of Lepanto and Mrs. Clennie Wheeler of Jonesboro, route four; four sons, D. W. and Thomas Thurman of route two, Martin Thurman of Peoria, Ill., and Willie Thurman of Altha, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Lou Phillips of Dixie; a brother, M. C. Ellinor of Paragould; 20 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, two daughters, four sons, a sister, a brother, 20 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
