Deceased Name: NANCY A. SWANSON
Nancy A. Swanson, age 60, of Cloquet passed away on August 1, 2002, in St. Mary's Medical Center, after complications from multiple myeloma.

She was born in Cloquet on June 27, 1942, to Wendell and Evangeline ''Willie'' (Schake) Parks. Nancy married David Swanson on June 20, 1959. She worked for both the Carlton Nursing Home and for over 25 years for the Cloquet School District. She continued to work for both right up until her illness in February 2002. Nancy was a member of the Cloquet Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed being involved with various sewing and craft clubs. She also enjoyed entertaining friends and family, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and her father.

Nancy is survived by her children Teresa Swanson of Moose Lake, Scott (Kris) Swanson of Barnum, and Dr. Jennifer (Sachin Balagopalan) Swanson of Easton, MA.; Grandchildren Megan, Abby and Hannah Anderson, Kalan, Bryan, Nichole, Carrine and Cameron Swanson, mother Willie Parks of Cloquet; sisters Lyn (Bruce) Jutila of Cloquet, Audrey (Marshall) Smith of Plymouth, MN., and brother Jerry (Karen) Parks of Plymouth, MN., nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: will be on Tuesday August 6, 2002 from 5 pm to 8 pm in Barr Brothers-Handevidt Funeral Home 900 Washington Avenue, Cloquet, and continue on Wednesday August 7, 2002 from 12 noon until the 1 pm Funeral Service in Cloquet Presbyterian Church 47-4th Street. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Officiating will be Chaplain Stacey Jutila and Reverend Robert Hickman. Pallbearers will be Chris Swanson, Andrew Jutila, Bob Vukelich, Ray Garsow, Glen Meister and Ken Parks.
