C.A. Hill, 82, of Evans, W.Va., died
at the Jackson General Hospital Ripley,
W.Va. He was born at Rock Castle, W.Va.,
son of the late Nicholas H. Hill and Mary
Frances Barr Hill.
He had served as postmaster, county clerk,
deputy sheriff, deputy tax commissioner and
as a real estate broker. He was a member of
the Long Hollow Baptist Church, had taught
Sunday School at the Evangelical United
Methodist Church where he also had been
Sunday School superintendent and was pres-
ident of the Evans Gas Company for 22 years.
He was a member of the AF and AM, Lodge
16 at Ripley.
Survivors include is wife, Mrs. Elva (Morrison)
Hill; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred (Lansing)
Williams of Wooster, Ohio and three sons,
Donnie (Kathleen) Hill of Parkersburg, W.Va.,
Charles Hill of Evans and Arthur (Margaret)
Hill Eleanor, W.Va.; He was preceded in death
by one daughter Marie Harness.
Burial will be at the Otterbein Cemetery.
