William Henry is the second youngest son of Conrad and Nancy Dingdore Borchers. William had three older brothers, George (1837-1880), John (1843-1910), and Charles(1847) and a younger brother, James Buchanan (1857-1937). He had two older sisters, Charlotte(1840-1887) and Mary Ann Borchers Deaton (1850-1921).

According to his death certificate, William was a farmer all his life and never married. William died in February of 1929 of Chronic Intestinal Nephritis. The death certificate indicates that kidney trouble contributed to his death. He died in Savanah, Andrew County, Missouri.

William is buried in the Savannah Cemetery in Andrew County, Missouri with his brother, James Buchanan and James' wife, Hattie, his nephew, Carol Borchers and Carol's wife, Mabel. His parents and other siblings are buried in Gravel Wall Cemetery.
