William Franks Couser died peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth, their son, James, his brother, George and his parents, Lela and Roy Couser. After retiring from the chemistry department at San Antonio College, Bill and Elizabeth enjoyed traveling around the country and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Alaska. He loved photography, fishing and golf and most of all he loved his many, many friends. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Couser; sister, Doris Lieber; sisters-in-law, Joan Couser and Marian Lucke and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend deep gratitude for the loving care offered by the staff at the Forum, his companion, Robbin Blocker, Vista Hospice and dear friend, Guich Koock. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring Mortuary North. SERVICE COKER UNITED METHODIST CHAPEL SATURDAY 10:00 A.M. Chaplain Michael Insley officiating. Interment will follow in Coker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vista Hospice, 5815 Callaghan Rd., Ste 102, San Antonio, TX 78228.
