Mary Ellen Puckett, daughter of Dempsey and Elizabeth Reed, was born in Randolph Co.,IN, October 24,1839, and died at her home in Unionport March 12,1911, aged 72y-4m-15d.

She was married to John Dolby in 1862 and to this union was born five sons and six daughters of which four sons and five daughters have preceded her to the great beyond. She spent most of her life near and in Indianapolis. She was left a widow in 1898.

She was converted and united with the M.E. church at Acton, in early life. After the death of her husband she made her home with her daughter Mrs. Ella Golden, of Indianapolis, until her marriage to Calvin J. Puckett July 21,1908, after which time she came to live at his home in Unionport, this union being short but happily spent.

Many good things might be said of Aunt Mary but best of all was her implicit faith and trust in Jesus--always trusting everything to him.

She leaves to mourn her husband, two children, three step-children, nine grandchildren and three-great-grandchildren, relatives and host of friends.

The funeral was held at the home in Unionport and the remains were taken to Acton for burial. Rev. Ruby Owen conducted the funeral, Tuesday, March 14.
