MRS. CHAS. KIMBERLIN DIES WEDNESDAY NIGHT Mrs. Chas. Kimberlin, 55, wife of Charles Kimberlin, county welfare agent for Howell county, died Wednesday night about 7:30 o'clock as the result of self-inflicted shotgun wounds. Although Mrs. Kimberlin has been in poor health, suffering from extreme nervousness and worry for some time, her death came as a great shock to her many friends who have known her for so many years. She was born July 22, 1878 in Peace Valley to Mr. and Mra. H. S. Spradlin where she lived until coming to West Plains in 1901, three years after her marriage to "Charlie" Kimberlin on March 16, 1898. Mr. Kimberlin was elected to the office of Howell county sheriff in the election of 1900, taking office January 1, 1901, when he and Mrs. Kimberlin moved to West Plains.
After serving in that capacity for two terms, Mr Kimberlin engaged in the real estate and insurance business which he continued until a year ago when he became the welfare officer for Howell county. Mrs. Kimberlin is survived by her (four children, Roy Kimberlin, Charles Kimberlin and Hazel M. Rothgeb, all of West Plains, and Champ Kimberlin who is a patient in the Mt Vernon sanitarium.
Mr. and Mrs. Champ Kimberlin will arrive this afternoon to be present until after the funeral.
Besides her children, Mrs. Kimberlin is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. James Bamett, Mrs. John Relsh, both of Peace Valley, and Mrs. John M. Henry of Independence, and by two brothers, John Spradlin of Liberal and W. P. Spradlin of Pomona.
No definite arrangements have been made as yet for her funeral which will be under the direction of the McFarland Undertaking company.
